Every coffee table discussions in families, schools, among relatives, colleagues, friends talk about problems. These problems are very clearly and unambiguously understood by everyone. These PROBLEMS provide OPPORTUNITY for action. These actions need TALK ACTION OWNERS. TAOs need to have expertise in their field of concern as an amateur or professional and must be able to action with passion. A round table consists of

 

  • a discussion among peers
  • will have passionate proponents and opponents. Every member in the round table will speak/ present
  • chaired by a neutral expert
  • discussion will be recorded
  • the points minuted and the top 3 winning arguments will be selected through voting 
  • The round table will have an NGO or corporate sponsor
  • will have a SEN4NGOs volunteer as MC
  • Will play a recorded video or presentation from the sponsor
  • The MC will explain the rules  for the round table discussion
  • The chair will initiate the discussion and set forth the agenda
  • The chair/ special expert invitee will speak for upto 10 minutes
  • Every participant will be allowed to present their views for upto 2 – 5 minutes
  • There will be a 10 – 15 minutes discussion
  • The Chair will conclude in 5 minutes and call for a vote. Voting to be completed by not more than 10 minutes
  • The top 3 winners will be announced by the Chair and handed over to the MC
  • The MC will interact with these 3 speakers, consolidate the points and submit to the Chair for review.
  • The Chair will sign the document, and submit to the MC for records
  • MC will submit to SEN4NGOs for further action through NGOs.
